The Camden County School System has as its central purpose to educate students to become excellence through viable programs and responsible partnerships with the community. We strive to maintain safe schools and campuses throughout our system. We believe that all students should have opportunities for learning which will help them develop their fullest intellectual, personal, and social potential. |
Entrance Requirements
Age
A child must be five years of age on or before September 1, to be admitted to the kindergarten program and six years of age on or before September 1, to be admitted into first grade. In the pre-k program, three and four year old children who are either physically, mentally, or emotionally handicapped, or perceptually or linguistically deficient, shall be eligible for enrollment. No exceptions will be made for children who enter kindergarten or first grade in private schools and then wish to transfer to public schools; exception may be made for children who are a legal resident of one ore more states for a period of two years immediately prior to Georgia and who are legally enrolled in public kindergarten or a kindergarten accredited by a state or regional association.
Inoculation
It must be verified that students who are entering a Georgia public school for the first time meet the immunization requirements. Any child entering the Camden County Schools for the first time regardless of grade level, must have been immunized against diphtheria, measles, mumps, polio, rubella, tetanus, and whooping cough prior to admission. Parents are responsible for seeing that this is done.

Georgia State Law requires the following in order to enroll in the Camden County Schools: Birth Certificate Eye, ear, and dental records (Georgia Form 3300) Immunization Record (Georgia Form 3032)
